Joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Vincent Properties in 2009, Melissa Boone graduated with a marketing degree from Appalachian State University. She obtained a North Carolina Real Estate License in 2010 and currently serves as Team Manager for Team Vincent, a three-person agent team here at Vincent Properties. As Team Manager, Melissa works alongside Jay and Chad Vincent to assist with buyers, sellers/listings, and overall team marketing and communications. Team Vincent has been voted the BEST Real Estate agent/team in Watauga County THREE times, while our firm has been voted BEST Real Estate firm FOUR times!

Melissa’s love for the outdoors and for the mountains gives her a passion for working with local properties and people in the High Country. She enjoys being a part of our unique, scenic area and supporting the local communities. Melissa, alongside her husband Adam and their two sons, live in Boone with their ‘coyote mix’, Kyah, and their bloodhound, Winston. Originally from Santa Barbara, Lee Gillette moved to the High Country with his family during the summer of 1990. Lee spent the early part of his childhood in the Blowing Rock area until moving to Boone, where he attended Watauga High School. During that time, Lee cultivated a deep love and appreciation for the area. Lee spent a great deal of time outdoors hiking in the summer and skiing at AppSki Mountain during the winter.

Lee Gillette attended Appalachian State University to study Hospitality and Tourism Management in the Walker College of Business and graduated in the spring of 2005. After moving out of the area for a short time, Lee quickly realized that the High Country is where his heart belonged! He enjoys spending as much time outside as he can working in the yard, playing golf and tennis, or exploring all this area has to offer.

Lee’s wife just had their first child in February of 2018 and they are excited to raise a true Mountaineer!

In Chad Vincent’s own words, “the High Country is so much more than just another small mountain resort area. It’s the place where I have met lifelong friends, developed my career, donated many hours to the community, and still managed to find time to play on the mountain- in essence, I discovered a place to grow roots- to call home.”

After growing up in the real estate and development business, Chad Vincent obtained his real estate license at the early age of 19 while attending UNC-Chapel Hill. Upon graduating in 2002 with two degrees, Chad found his way back to his mountain community and began working in the family business at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Vincent Properties.

Chad Vincent is now the Broker in Charge of Berkshire Hathway HomeServices Vincent Properties and a member of Team Vincent, where he works alongside his father, Jay Vincent and Melissa Boone. Being a highly productive agent, Chad admits to not having much “free time”. He simply chucks this up to having a passion for the business. To help bring some joy to his life, Chad adopted Finn, a Shiloh Shepherd with a unique personality. The pair, along with Chad’s wife Tomie, like to hike large acreage tracts of land or simply enjoy a movie! If you stop by the office or work with Chad, you will more than likely get to meet the “Wolf”.
